Even in ancient times, people dreamed of building a machine that would be able to mechanically imitate the natural movements of a horse. Even Leonardo da Vinci dealt with the problem but was unsuccessful. As far as is known, his studies never went beyond design. The situation is different with the Ugears models for animals and a variety of machines. You can assemble them yourself. All products are fully movable and correspond as closely as possible to the great role model in technology or nature.

The Ugears model "mechanical horse" consists of more than 400 individual parts. This makes it move like a real animal. This is achieved by a rubber band that is twisted and thereby stores energy. The sequence of movements is made very natural thanks to gears and joints. The rubber band is tightened again by a few turns on the crank. Like all models from the manufacturer, this one is very realistic and far more than a toy.
