About the model
The UGEARS Mad Hornet Airplane – a racing plane in 1930s style.
It is inspired by the Gee Bee R-1 of the Granville Brothers: a thick, teardrop-shaped fuselage and a cockpit set far back. The spring motor has two modes: in “pre-flight check” the propeller spins and flaps and rudder wiggle – then the plane rolls off by itself.
A one-day project – 354 parts, around 8 hours of building time.
Highlights:
- Spring motor with two modes
- Propeller, flaps and rudder in motion
- Striking racing plane shape
Assembly without glue or tools, instructions in 11 languages.
