Here the mechanism is the focus, not the subject: each STEM LAB model demonstrates a single principle — pendulum, differential, continuously variable transmission, curvimeter — and takes about 2 to 4 hours to build. If you want to go further, the V8 engine at 1:6 scale and the walking Hexapod Explorer are two big projects where the mechanics are just as visible.
