Description
The Knight Bus™ is the triple-decker from “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” – with a spring motor and a width that changes.
Just like in the movie, the bus narrows and expands: twist the knob counterclockwise to squeeze it for slipping through traffic, clockwise to bring it back to full size. The speed changes with the width – at full width the bus speeds along, in its narrow form it moves in slow motion.
The spring motor is wound with a key hidden on the roof. To prevent an early getaway, raise the manipulator button to lock the drive gears, wind the bus, then press the button to release it. A flip gear system lets it coast smoothly once it is under way.
A weekend project – 268 parts, about 6 hours.
Key features:
- Triple-decker design as seen in the film
- Spring motor with key stored on the roof
- Width adjustable via twist knob
- Speed changes with the width
- Flip gear system for coasting after release

Designed by UGEARS, a Ukrainian brand, produced in the EU. We have been bringing the models to Germany as the exclusive importer since 2015 and ship from Germany. If a part breaks while building, spare parts are free.
