About the model
Wood Dragon: a dragon styled after Chinese art that doubles as a treasure box – its stand hides a secret drawer.
The long, coiled, four-limbed dragon clutches a red glass pearl in its left claw. It sits on a stand with a hidden drawer: press the secret button disguised as a flower and the drawer springs open, powered by a metal spring. You close it by hand. The dragon lifts off the stand and can be displayed on its own.
The drawer holds a secret message, a small treasure or a red envelope (hóngbāo) with a Lunar New Year gift. A project for one evening – 141 parts, about 2 hours. Together with the European-style Windstorm Dragon, it forms the UGEARS dragon collection.
Key features:
- Flower-shaped secret button opens the drawer
- Metal spring powers the drawer mechanism
- Transparent red glass orb as the pearl
- Detachable dragon that stands on its own
- Sandpaper and wax included for smooth-running moving parts
Assembles without glue or special tools, instructions in 11 languages.
