In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the Monster Book of Monsters is the textbook on the care of magical creatures owned by Rubeus Hagrid™. It snaps and growls at anyone who tries to open it without stroking its spine first.
A strap keeps the model locked shut. You wind the cord at the back to maximum tension, place the book on a flat surface and release the strap. The metal spring drives it forward, the cover claps open and shut like snapping jaws, and just before full release the eyes pop open. A project for an evening – 195 parts, about 3 hours.

Designed by UGEARS, a Ukrainian brand, produced in the EU. We have been bringing the models to Germany as the exclusive importer since 2015 and ship from Germany. If a part breaks while building, spare parts are free.
