The UGEARS R-5 Aircraft Engine – a five-cylinder wooden radial engine driven by an electric motor.
It is modelled on the Kinner R-5, an air-cooled radial engine from the 1930s that powered many training aircraft. The model shows how everything works together: five pistons move in the real firing order 1-3-5-2-4, the valves open and close in sync via metal pushrods, and the propeller turns smoothly. Power comes via USB-C, the switch sits in the base. The propeller has a safety clutch that disengages under resistance.
