Description

The Droideka from the Star Wars™ collection by UGEARS folds into a sphere and springs into battle stance via a lever system.

On screen, the destroyer droid served the Trade Federation and later the Separatists, known for suddenly deploying from a compact sphere into combat mode. The model recreates this transformation with a system of rubberized levers: fold the Droideka into a sphere by hand, then release it and it springs open into battle stance. The two blaster arms fold and deploy independently.

There are two launch modes: for reliable activation, just lift it above the table and let go. For a more spectacular effect, lock the mechanism on one or two notches and roll the sphere to trigger the deployment.

A project for one evening – 180 parts, about 3 hours.

Key features:

  • Folding mechanism from sphere to battle stance
  • Two launch modes
  • Independently deployable twin blasters
  • Movie-accurate shape and proportions
  • Durable rubber bands and colorized plywood
