Description
Windstorm Dragon: an open-frame wooden automaton whose rubber band motor moves the arms, legs, body and its large wings.
The open design lets you watch its mechanical heart at work: a rubber band motor. To wind it, hold the dragon by its body and turn the key in its chest clockwise. Pull the start lever and the arms, legs and whole body begin to move, with both wings beating along.
The wing bones are wood, the rest is paper cut in a feather design. The softer material makes the wingbeat look natural and leaves room for your own ideas. Set the dragon on its stand or hang it on the twine – both are included. A weekend project – 320 parts, about 6 hours, measuring 53 × 48.5 × 29 cm when finished.
