About the model
Whale with Calf – a wooden model to paint: a mother whale and her calf, with the outlines already drawn on.
Acrylics, gouache, watercolors or markers – just use whatever you have at hand. The fine lines on the wood show where the whale and calf go, so painting is quick and easy. Paint it on your own, with friends or together as a family.
There is a little story to tell, too: in the first days after birth, a whale calf always stays close to its mother, who shows it how to swim and find its way in the sea. In the model, the calf nestles right up to her for protection. A small project for children aged 4 and up – 8 parts, about 30 minutes.
