Carousel
About the model
The Carousel is a wooden model for painting with a horse, an elephant and a bear on a round platform – the outlines are already drawn on.
Fine lines on the wood show where the horse, elephant and bear get their colors, which makes painting easy. Afterwards you can roll the Carousel and spin it in your hands to see how it is built: it rotates on vertical axes and works on the principle of a roller bearing.
The name comes from the French "carousel", a riding game of the nobility in which young riders tried to spear rings with a lance. It later turned into the spinning carousel with wooden horses that you know from the funfair. A short project for kids and grown-ups – 23 parts, about 1 hour.
