Description
The Engine Clock is a functional mechanical table clock with pendulum, styled as an engine block – with pistons moving on top.
Wind it with the ignition key at the front. The pendulum and escapement produce a steady tick, and the seconds pass on a dial at the back. A speedometer shows the hours, a tachometer the minutes; the retrograde mechanism resets the minute hand automatically after 60 minutes. One winding lasts up to 5 hours, and disengaging the pistons adds another 60 to 90 minutes.
If the clock runs fast or slow, move the circular weight at the bottom of the pendulum for larger adjustments and the ball at the top for fine-tuning. A project for one or two evenings – 265 parts, about 5 hours.
Key features:
- Engine block with moving pistons
- Hours on a speedometer, minutes on a tachometer
- Seconds dial at the back
- Adjustable pendulum with two weights
- Size: 14.2 × 30 × 12 cm
